Nano technology is gaining importance as an innovative technology of the future – at Möller Medical, it is part of our service line since 1995. In our laboratory Möller NanoCoatings, we offer a wide variety of high-grade coating products and develop coating systems tailored to our customers’ needs. Such coatings are, strictly speaking, a permanent chemical modification of the part’s surface. By covalent bonding of the coating layer to the part, a much better temperature stability can be achieved (up to 600 °C with some types of coatings), as well as an increased mechanical strength and chemical resistance.

Coating technology adds essential value to the product by its dirt- and waterrepellent properties, low friction coefficient and higher scratch resistance. Hydrophilic, conducting/ isolating, deco-rative or soft-feel coatings are available as well.

For surface finishing by nanocomposite coatings, we utilize the sol-gel process, where we employ apparatuses and processes developed in-house. Base materials for coatings are, among others, steel, brass, copper, aluminum, glass and various plastics (e.g., PA, PMMA, PC, ABS).
