LiquoGuard® 7
Intelligent, automated CSF Management
LiquoGuard® 7 sets a new standard in cerebrospinal fluid drainage – combining real-time monitoring, fully automated control, and integrated safety features. Unlike traditional gravity-based systems, LiquoGuard® 7 proactively detects and alerts staff to drainage issues, reducing the risk of complications, improving patient mobility, and enhancing safety. With fewer manual interventions and no need for constant repositioning or transducer leveling, LiquoGuard® 7 streamlines workflows and supports faster recovery, and lowers hospital costs.

1. Neurosurgery, trauma, & orthopedics
LiquoGuard® 7 is a proven solution for regulating and maintaining cerebrospinal fluid pressure, managing acute high-pressure events such as hemorrhage or edema. It benefits patients of all ages—pediatric to geriatric—while reducing the clinical workload associated with manual drainage systems.
Typical uses include:
- Ventricular and lumbar drainage
- Pressure- and volume-controlled drainage
2. Diagnostic & therapeutic support
LiquoGuard® 7 assists in complex CSF diagnostics such as Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), offering testing procedures like lumbar infusion and tap tests. With mobile, battery-powered operation, it allows pressure and volume monitoring in various patient positions—standing, sitting, or during physical activity.
Typical uses include:
- Katzman test (lumbar infusion for NPH diagnosis)
- Shunt pressure assessment and adjustment
- Continuous ICP monitoring during daily activities
3. Vascular surgery & anesthesiology
During complex vascular procedures such as TAA or TAAA, LiquoGuard® 7 ensures real-time monitoring of CSF pressure and flow, enabling early detection of potential neurological complications. Postoperatively, it helps maintain target intrathecal pressure and allows for rapid intervention to prevent or manage neurological deficits.
Typical uses include:
- Intraoperative neurological monitoring
- Postoperative neurological monitoring
- Pressure-controlled CSF drainage
